When you install Discoverer 10g , There will be a folder created automatically named BITOOLSHOME_1 in Oracle HOME directory, you create a subfolder named "secure" and in this folder put the dbc files obtained from DBA.
Normally .DBC files I guess they are in $FND_TOP in the unix box.

Hi,
I need to configure an install package for Discoverer on a system that is used by more than one person. Is it ok to create System variables instead of User variables?
Thanks.

Hi Guys,
Reg: unable to connect to desktop invlaid useranme/password
Version: Discoverer client 10.1.2.x
Have you got the patch applied and fixed the issue you are facing.? If not, here is the direction.
Discoverer Administrator and Desktop version is 10.1.2.48.18 are not certified with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.
You are required to apply the Oracle Discoverer 10.1.2.3 patchset 10.1.2.3 Patch # : 5983622
on your Discoverer Administration/Desktop Edition home and then check.
beware: Its a quite BIG patch.
Please refer to the following document for the same, Note 373634.1 - Using Discoverer 10.1.2 with
Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 5.3.2. Apply the latest certified Discoverer Administration Edition Patch.
Thanks,
Matt.
