Add Attachment Region In Oa Framework Page

Business Requirement : - User needs to add Attachment (Upload/review attachment) Functionality in Any Existing OA framework page.

Solution :- You can add new Attachment Link or Attachment Table Type  oa framework Region on that page using personalization.

Difference between Attchment link and attachment Table is When you add attachment table It will display List of Attachments on same page where you have added attachment Region and when you Add Attachment Link it will display link on Same page where You have added Attachment Region and when you click on that link page will Redirect to another page where all list of attachments will be shown.

1)Go to page where you want to add attachment link.

Ex : Framework Tutorial Toolbox ->Search / Drilldown.



2)Click on search.



3)Click on go.



4)Click on details.



5)Go to about this Page.




6)Find View And Primary key for data of view object.
Ex .:-
Primary Key:- HeaderId
View name :-   PoDetailsFullExpVO1




7)Click on  personalize page link.

8)Click on create new item.

9)Select Type attachment link.




10)Fill Following Details and Click On Apply.
Id:XX_ATTACH_LINK
View Name :- PoDetailsFullExpVO1



11)now below error shown on page.




12Now go to newly created attachment link -> Entity Mapping.



13)click on create item.



14)Create Entity map as shown below and click on apply.
ID:-  XX_LINK_ENTITY_MAP
ENTITY:-  XX_LINK_ENTITY



Click On Apply.


15)Go to newly created Entity Map -> Primary key and click on create item.



16)Following link Appears.
ID:-  XX_LINK_PRIMARY_KEY
View Attribute :-  HeaderId



17)Go to Entity map Map->CategoryMappings and click on create item.


18)create category map as shown below and click on apply.
ID :- XX_LINK_CATEGORY_MAP



19)Now click on Return to Application.


20) You can find Link for Adding And  Viewing Attachments on this page, click on go.


21)Attach a file and Click on apply.


22)On page you can find view attachment link.


23) You can find attachments given below.


24)Open any attachment by just clicking on Link , open/save dialogue box appear.

how to attach files in workflow notification response/reply message

Hi Dakshesh,

There is a requirement to respond to worklist notification or email notification with attachments, where-in the user attaches some data, replies back to notification and this attachment must be handled back by workflow and go to another user/get saved in application for that item transaction.

Any ideas please help!

Hi Dear,
You post is really very helpful for me. Very good explanation.
I tried creating Attachment link on advance table region.
I can view the attachments attached from Forms. I can successfully able to attach the from OAF too. But the attachment is not saving in back end.
I can view the attachment image. but when i logout and login again , ican not see the attachment.
what might be the issue? please help.
