Recently I came across a unique requirement where my client did not want to give user an option to pop up window when hovering the mouse over “Add Attachment “button.

Step 1:  Signify background processing as the popup loads when hovering the mouse over “Add Attachment” button

Step 2: window gets enabled. A small popup with Add Attachment appears on screen

Now the question arises how to achieve the requirement. The first option normally comes to mind in most of the developers is controller extension, correct?

Chill!! .. Oracle has a profile option, which makes developer life easy.  So no need of any unnecessary coding, just setup the profile value and make a space in your client's heart.

Search for Profile: FND: Disable Inline Attachments

Default value is False, set it to True at Site level.

And your clients get what they want.
