Below are the high level steps to install OUAF on db side.

Also are some of the findings which I didnt get either on oracle support or stack overflow while installing ORMB 2.9.0.0.0

1) Export java home

export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk1.8.0_281-amd64/

2) export JAR_PATH the location where you have extracted  Oracle Revenue Management and Billing V2.9.0.0.0 Oracle Database downloaded from oracle delivery in TEMPDIR.

export JAR_PATH=/u01/TEMPDIR/FW/FW44000/jarfiles

3) Set the CLASS_PATH environment variable

If you blindly copy paste thsi from Oracle document it will fail . Because when you copy and paste below code from doc - gets omitted for example for commons-cli1.3.1.jar after cli there should be - .  So just compare the command with  names in the jar files folder exported in step 2 to avoid troubleshooting.

export CLASS_PATH=${JAR_PATH}/commons-cli-1.3.1.jar:${JAR_PATH}/commons-codec-1.9.jar:${JAR_PATH}/commons-collections-3.2.2.jar:${JAR_PATH}/log4j-api-2.11.0.jar:${JAR_PATH}/log4j-core-2.11.0.jar:${JAR_PATH}/ojdbc8-12.2.0.1.jar:${JAR_PATH}/oradbi.jar:${JAR_PATH}/spl-shared-4.4.0.0.0.jar

4) Change directory to /TEMPDIR/FW/FW44000/Install-Upgrade

cd /u01/TEMPDIR/FW/FW44000/Install-Upgrade

5) Execute the OraDBI (Java) utility

 java -cp ${CLASS_PATH} com.oracle.ouaf.oem.install.OraDBI -d jdbc:oracle:thin@ormbfpl:1521/ouaf,CISADM,CISADM,CISUSER,CISREAD,CIS_USER,CIS_READ,CISADM -p CISUSER,CISREAD -l 1,2 -j $JAVA_HOME -q true

Above is as per doc. For me it errored out with error message Caused by: oracle.net.ns.NetException: Invalid connection string format, a valid format is: "host:port:sid".

So if you get similar error just remove the line jdbc:oracle:thin@  , because in the error log I could extra line was added while trying to connect to db as  jdbc:oracle:thin@jdbc:oracle:This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. If you search for this error in Oracle support it will ask you to apply patch no need of it , if you can see the mentioned line twice just omit the line said and rerun command as below

java -cp ${CLASS_PATH} com.oracle.ouaf.oem.install.OraDBI -d ormbfpl:1521/ouaf,CISADM,CISADM,CISUSER,CISREAD,CIS_USER,CIS_READ,CISADM -p CISUSER,CISREAD -l 1,2 -j $JAVA_HOME -q true

I hope this would be hepful for the ORMB Administartorrs and others.
