there is an employee ABC who was hired on 21-jan-2001 and was terminated on 1-jun-2007.duri ng this assignment he had assignment number 1001 and supervisor A.he was terminated using the end employment form with final process date left blank.he was rehired on 1-aug-2007 as a contingent worker.this assignment has a number 2001 and supervisor B.now the issue is when the supervisors log intomanagers selfservice responsibility- >My employee information :-
the employee is visible under both supervisors A with assignment number 1001 even though he is terminated and under supervisor B with assignment number 2001 whereas the business functionality eants to see him just under supervisor B.Now if I specify the final process date as one day prior to the rehire date will this solve my problem or because he has payroll actions as of today specify the next pay period end date as the final process date and terminate him then will he not be visible under supervisor A after the pay period end date.
Can any one suggest a solution.

Hi Vijaya

You should be able to use FNDLOAD, as Oracle uses FNDLOAD too to deliver new triggers in their patches.

Pleas e see FNDLOAD basics article to learn FNDLOAD
Thanks,
Anil

Hi Anil,

I have created a Job Group with my own name and created few jobs under the job group which i have created, but when i go to position it says no job exists, it is not showing in the list of values but it is showing the jobs which i created under the job group which the application creates when we create a Business Group. Can anyone guide me is there any setup where we need to set the job group which i created or how?

Hi Anil,

Very good article!

Based on your video tutorial i have created a dynamic trigger to capture the location and position details whenever a supervisor( supervisor_id column in per_all-assignm ents_f table) is changed for an employee. This dynamic trigger is firing everytime the table gets updated, I want this dynamic trigger to fire only when a supervisor is changed. Is this possible to achieve this, is so how ?

Thanks in advance.

I have to write a dynamic trigger to update the adjusted_svc_da te in per_all_people_ f based on following requirements:
T he primary business need is to populate the adjusted service date field with an accurate service date based on the business rule for the country of hire or rehire.
The adjusted service date has to be updated as soon as the record is updated in HRMS and not on a delay. This is to avoid any data discrepancy that may arise if the update is delayed as the adjusted service date could potentially be picked up in reports or sent to other systems through interfaces.

US/Canada
In the US and Canada, we have the following rules when an associate rehires as per the hire/rehire policy:
1.The adjusted service date for rehired associates will be calculated as follows:
1.1.If an associate is rehired prior to incurring a one-month break in service, the adjusted service date will be the original date of hire
1.2.If an associate is rehired after a one-month break but prior to a one-year break in service, an adjusted service date will be calculated giving credit for the associate’s prior service time, subtracting the time off between payroll separation and rehire
1.3.If an associate is rehired after a one-year break in service, the adjusted service date will be the new date of hire
1.4.If an associate is administrativel y separated and rehired following a determination that the hiring process for this associate was not strictly adhered to (e.g. new hire testing), the adjusted service date will be the new date of hire. Compensation and legal will review any and all exceptions, including superseding state regulations
2.T he pay rate will be the progression interval rate corresponding to the calculated adjusted service date (see examples in Table 1).

TABLE 1Orig Hire DateSeparation DateRehire DateAdjusted Service DateNew Pay RateNext Increase Date
1.1
(30;1 year)

4/8/024/ 11/045/1/05
5/1 /05Start rateFollows regular
progression

The CEMLI should be setup to apply these rules when calculating the adjusted service date for rehires.

Mexic o
In Mexico, rehires are not granted any service credit, so the adjusted service date is always set to latest hire date when an employee is rehired or hired. It also launches the new hire notification program.

Brazi l
In Brazil, the adjusted service date field is only used when an employee transfers to the Supply Chain group from a sister company. The adjusted service date field is left blank for all hires and rehires.
------ --------------- --------------- --------------- --------------- --------------- ------
I am thinking of calling an API which will update the adjusted_svc_da te ,in the package which gets called when the dynamic trigger fires.
Please suggest whether I am right or wrong.
