First time login into Cloud Application—

When we login into the Oracle Cloud application for the first time the application seems to be complete blank with no access-

  1. The below screenshot gives you the actual look and feel when you login for the first time.

  1. As we can see that there are neither any modules nor any infolets in the above screenshot nor we have the access to go to the offerings which is shown in the below screenshot.

  1. The most important tab Setup & Maintenance is missing on the right tab –Settings and Actions.

  1. Hence in order to access the application we need to create a user and assign roles just like Oracle R12 EBS has responsibilities.

  1. Navigation to create user—Tools—Security Console-Create User.

6.After creating user—we can see there is a tab called Add Role, so we need to add 3 roles to the user that has been created. Once we add the user and save it we can see it in the user’s list.

7.  In the above screenshot we can see in the display name all the usernames created along with the email address, the status as well. In the search tab—we can give username (give the first 3 alphabets) and then search.

8. Once the user is created, we assign the roles—The list of roles are following — IT Security Manager, Application Implementation Consultant.

Application Implementation Consultant—This role is like system administrator of EBS R12 and after assigning it we can perform all the setups and transactions.

9. Steps to add role to the user that we have created—

10. Go to Edit—Add role option will populate—Add Role Membership.

11. The marked one is the role you need to assign and once it is assigned click on save and close followed by done.

12. Once you add the roles, then you can see all the modules, infolets [that is enabled by default] populating along with the Setup & Maintenance and now we are ready for the transactions.

Note: There are 2 types of users — the above setup mentioned is for the Implementation user who are supposed to do the setups for the business users.
