In my previous article in Oracle Fusion Goal Management , I discussed the basics of the Goal Plans in Oracle Fusion Talelnt Management.
To recap, Goal plans are used to manage a collection of performance or development goals for a specific period. Goal plans can be rolled out to individuals, a selected hierarchy, or a wider population within the organization.
In this article you will learn about creating Goal Plans.
Consider the example of ABC Corporation that would like to increase sales by 10% from the previous year. A HR specialist creates a goal plan that contains the organization objective that the Sales Team can work on throughout the performance evaluation period.
Steps to achieve the objective would be something like this:
- Create a performance goal plan for the Sales team
- Add goals to the workers to meet the organization’s objectives
- Add tasks to each goal to help measure the completion of the goal.
1.In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for the Manage Goal Plan task and click on ‘Go to Task’ Icon.
2.Click the Create Goal Plan dropdown button to activate the menu and choose the Performance list item.
3.In the Goal Plan Name, Enter ‘Sales Team Goal Plan 2015’.
4. Enter the current date into the Start Date field.
5. Enter a future date into the End Date field.
6. Click the Enable weight option.
7. Click the Next button to open the Create Goal Plan: Organization Assignment Page.
8. Click Next to open the Create Goal Plan: Worker Assignment Page.
9. In the Workers Regions, Click Search and select to open the Search and Select: Worker Dialog Box
10. In the Department field, enter the department to which your Sales Team belongs.
11. Click Search
12. Select the name of your workers and any other desired names.
13. Click the Done button.
14. In the Goals Region, Click Create to open the Add Performance Goal page.
15. In the Goal Name field, enter "Increase Sales by 10 Percent”.
16. In the Description field. Enter "Increase sales by 10 percent for the period over the previous year.”
17. In the Start Date, leave the current date
18. In the Target Completion Date field, type the future date
19. In the Success Criteria field. Enter "The total of all sales contracts are increased 10 percent over the previous year."
20. In the Level field, select Target Item.
21. In the Category field, select Revenue.
22. Click the Measurement Add button to open The Add Measurement window.
23. In the type region, click the Quantitative option.
24. In the Name field. Enter "Sales Recording".
25. In the Unit of Measurement field, click the Currency list item.
26. Click the OK button.
27. Click the Tasks tab.
28. Click the Add button
29. In the Name field. Enter "Increase sales calls by 25 percent".
30. In the Type field, click the other list item
31. Enter the current date into the Start Date field.
32. Enter a future date into the End Date field.
33. In the Priority field, choose the High list item
34. Click the Submit button
35. Click the Next button.
36. Review your entire goal plan and click the Submit button.
