My previous article provided an overview of the components of Profile Management in Oracle Fusion Talent Management. Now let see how these components fit together.

Consider the example of ABC Corporation that provides various opportunities for workers to volunteer for projects that support Social Responsibility, Environmental Responsibility and State Citizenship. Management at ABC Corporation requested the Fusion implementation team to design a way to track the Corporate Citizenship activities of workers so that they can rate them on their involvement in the organization. In this example, we also see how a rating model is used with content type, how to add the new content type to a person profile and add a New Content Section to a Profile.
To achieve the above, we would need to complete the following tasks:
1. Create a rating model
2. Create a Content Type
3. Create Content Items
4. Add the Content Type to the Person Profile Type
5. Adding the New Content Section to a Profile

 Task 1 - Creating a Rating Model

1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for the Manage Profile Rating Models task and click on ‘Go to Task’ Icon.

2. On the Manage Rating Models page, click 'Create' icon.

3. On the Create Rating Model page, complete the following fields, as shown in this screenshot below. Use the default values except where indicated.

4. Click Save and Close.

Task 2 - Creating a Content Type

5. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for the Manage Profile Content Types task and click Go to Task.

6. On the Manage Content Types page, click 'Create' icon

7. On the Create Content Type page, add a content type by completing the following fields. Use the default values except where indicated.

        A. The corporate Citizenship rating model created in Task 1 is used with the content type.
        B. The tab highlighted in grey color is seeded field properties, use the default values
        C. The following table describes fields (content type properties) that appear on the pages with                       the content item

8. Select the Subscribers tab.
9. On the Subscribers tab, click Add.
10. In the Subscriber Code field, select HRMS.
11. On the Subscribers tab, click Add.
12. In the Subscriber Code field, select TM

13.Click Save and Close.
Task 3 - Creating Content Items
14. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for the Manage Profile Content Items task and click on ‘Go to Task’.

15. On the Manage Content Items page, click 'Create' icon

16.In the Create Content Item dialog box, complete the following fields, as shown in the Screen Shot below
Field Value
Content Type – ABC Corporate Citizenship
Content Item - Environmental Responsibility

17. On the Create Content Item: Corporate Environmental Responsibility Page, select the Corporate Citizenship rating model in the Rating field.

18. Repeat steps 16 & 17 to add content items for Social Responsibility and State Citizenship.
19. Click Save and Close.

The next article will cover tasks (4) Add the content type to the person profile type and (5) Adding the New Content Section to a Profile.
