Objective: In the previous article Oracle Fusion Fundamental, we saw a brief introduction of Fusion Fundamentals. In this article, we will see How to create a project in Fusion application.

Set up and Maintenance:

At the top-right corner, just next to the username you will see a drop down. When you click on that you will find an option called Set up and Maintenance. Click on that.

Click on 'Getting Started' - the first option under Implementations.

Creating Implementation Project:

To create Implementation project, we should not use super user. It is best recommended to create a new user or an initial user based on the IT specialist role, then associate the required roles to the respective users.

Step 1:

Click on Manage Implementation Projects under Implementations.

Step 2:

Now, we can create a new project by clicking on a page sign under Search result tab as shown in the screenshot above.

Step 3:

Creating New project:

Name: A2F_Aug_2016 (You can put any non-existing name, I have used A2f_Aug_2016)

Code and Descriptions will automatically be updated once you give a Name to your project)

Status: Not started (Do not change the status)

Assigned to: FAAdmin (You can assign it to your user, In my case its FAAdmin)

Start date: 8/9/2016(Whenever you are starting your project)

Finish date: (Will remain blank)

Now click on Next.

Step 4:

Now depending on your requirement, you can choose the offerings from the list:

Some of the offerings are necessary to select, for example, we have selected Workforce deployment and under that (sub-offerings), Payroll, Absence Management, and Workforce Predictions are mandatory offerings that have to be selected.

These mandatory offerings are mentioned in the Oracle guide when you buy the license for a particular product.

Once the Offerings are selected, Click on Save and Open project option in the top-right corner.

Step 5:

Once you click on the Save and Open Project option, you will get a brief description of the project that you have created.

You can also edit the project you have created by adding or deleting the offerings or by assigning any task.
