Hello,

I am currently undertaking the ODI training . While practicing the lab I facing few issue.

Could you please answer my queries below.


1. Data from flat file is not getting loaded into the table (Error:ODI-1590 The execution of the script failed –call sqlldr ‘LKN file to Oracle(SQLLDR)’). Code indicating
that it is failing while running the SQL Loader script.

2. I am able to create the ‘Sequence’ in the Database, but not able to access the same in ODI studio for Surrogate Key.

3. While migrating the code from Development work repository to Execution work repository how to add the new schema and data source to the change data control.

    Hello,



    My 3rd query was related to Change Data Capture. After migrating (smart export and Import) the scenario from Development work repository to
    Execution Repository which will also migrate the physical and logical schema. But incase if we have to point a new schema and add a data source (table which will be similar
    to the table on which we have done the development) under the new schema to the change data capture. As the Designer tab (where we add a table to CDC under Models) will not be available under Execution Repository.

    Hi Sudheer,

    Please find the answer for your 1st doubt.

    It looks like LKM File to Oracle (SQLLDR) does not work without running it on an agent. Running it on Local (No Agent) always gives this error. If you however, install a stand-alone agent, configure it within ODI Studio (ODI 12c - Standalone Agent) and run the mapping containing this LKM on the agent, it works like clockwork.

    Hi Sudheer,

    Please find below response for your queries.

    1. SQLLDR Load depends on the TNS entry . Kindly check the TNS Entry first ( use TNS ping to verify). Check the "Instance/dblink (Data Server) in the Target Data Server in the Topology(which you are using as Staging) .

    2. If you are accessing the sequence in a variable , write your query like "select ..Nextval from dual". Check the logical schema, if its pointing to the correct physical schema with your execution context.
    Similarly , if you are accessing the sequence in an Interface use only ..Nextval

    3. While migrating your code from Dev to Any other Target Repository , kindly use smart export to export your code. This will move your Scenario/Project along with the required connections in the Topology .if you are adding some new connections to your existing code, Kindly smart export the changed code (with a new scenario version preferably) , this will move the new connections.
