Please answer my below questions :

1. Difference between EXISTS and IN in terms of execution of the SELECT query. Which is better in performance.

2. We can use function in SELECT query but not procedure. Why?

3. Difference between CHECK constraint and BEFORE INSERT Trigger.
    Ex : Suppose there is a emp table and we do not want anyone to insert data where sal > 10000. We can achieve this by both CHECK and BEFORE INSERT trigger. So what is the difference.

4. Suppose there is an excel sheet with 2 columns. 1st column data should be inserted into table1 and 2nd column data should be inserted into table2. How to generate the Insert script.

These were my interview questions which I felt difficult answering. Please help me with the answers.
