The next step of installation is configuration of OBIA.During the configuration phase the following key configurations occur:
Oracle BI Applications configuration Manager, Functional setup manager,ODI Java EE Agent, ODI console, and Load plan generator are deployed into weblogic server.
A BI applications Administrator user (with full access to configuration manager and access to ODI with supervisor role is created in weblogic server
Important Note: When you configure BIAPPS, you will be entering the user credentials for BIACM Admin/RPD/ODI. Make a note of them and save it. This user credentials is what you would be using to login to do post-installation steps of configurations and data load.
Lesson Learned:
When I had issues upgrading ATG Lite patch I decided to proceed with configuration of OBIA. But as mentioned in the previous article it is a required upgrade to move forward with configuration.
Here is a screen shot of the issue:
The next lesson learned was to set the java path to the location where JDK is installed.
Once you have followed all the steps to this point the configuration should be a smooth procees.
The configapps.sh file is located in <BI_Oracle_Hom>/bin
Before executing configapps.sh make sure the weblogic server, managed server and OPMN processes are running.
UNIX commands:
cd BI_Oracle_Home/bin
./configApps.sh
Here are the screen shots of onfigapps.sh. Again I would insist make a note of the access credentials you enter on the screens.
Here you have to enter the weblogic credentials you would have entered during OBIEE installation
Important Note: Make a good note of the OBIA Admin credentials you enter here
The next step requires the MDS schema repository credentials you have entered while executing the Fusion Middleware RCU.
The next step requires the credentials you would have entered while executing the OBIA RCU to create the DW,ODIREPO schemas
Save the file as given in the next step or make a note of the urls. These are your BIACM,FSM,ODI console.
The OBIA installation and confiugration steps are complete. If you login into weblogic admin server, you can now see the odi_managed server. You should be able to log in to the URLs of BIACM,FSM ,ODI Console.Going forward I will be covering all the components of OBIA as part of implementation phases of OBIA.
