Creating a New Territory Hierarchy
- Create a Territory Proposal
- Create a root territory
- Add child territories
- Activate the Proposal
Create a Territory Proposal
Navigator>Territory and Quotas>Manage Territory Proposals
Territories and Quotas window opens
Click on Manage Territory Proposal under the Tasks in Territories and Quotas
Go to Action> 'Create'
Enter Proposal Name in 'Create Territory Proposal'.
Note: Owner, by default, is set to user creating the proposal. A territory proposal is a container used to model territory changes.
Click ‘Save and View’
Click ‘Additional Information’ and enter Territory Team owner
Enter owner name and search
After creating Child Territory, we have to Activate this territory
Now this territory is in active.
Enable Dimensions and Metrics
Click ‘Enable Dimensions and Metrics’ under the Tasks tab
Click Add (+) button and add the required dimensions from the list and click OK
Once selected the Dimensions, select Customer check box in “Inclusions and Exclusions” section.
Then click Metrics
Click Add (+) button and add the required Metrics from the list and click OK
After entering the Dimensions and Metrics, go to Actions and select ‘Load and Activate’.
A message 'Activation completed successfully' will appear once activation is complete.
Now Dimensions and Metrics are activated.
